You Won’t Smell like smoke!

2/15/2022

You’ve heard the phrase, “You don’t look like what you’ve been through.” It has been a long while since I’ve posted a blog entry. During this time we’ve been in a pandemic and the whole world had to shut down. Covid-19, this virus, came and even mutated and many lives have been lost. The world has also been grieving underneath our mandated masks. These last couple of years has been rough for many. There have been vaccination fights, low supplies, worker shortages, and now rumors of war even as I type this. It has all come unexpectedly.

In the midst of this, God has not left us. I’m reminded of the story of the three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. In the book of Daniel, chapter 3, they were ordered to be thrown into a fiery furnace because they would not bow down and worship the king’s false idols and the golden image he created. They only worshiped the One True and Living God and would not worship false gods. The king became infuriated with the three Hebrews and commanded that they be bound and thrown into the burning hot furnace. He thought he had burned them alive but when he looked into the flames he was astonished. Daniel 3:25 - He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

God was in the fire with them! He rescued them. They may have had to go through the fire but God delivered them. God is faithful. He is with those who serve Him. If you don’t bow, you won’t burn! What is the “fiery furnace” situation you are facing? God is there. God is with you. The Bible says, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Rejoice! The joy of the Lord is your strength! (Nehemiah 8:10) You can have joy in a firestorm! Why? Because you’re coming out! The glory of the Lord will be revealed in you and through you! You will be a walking billboard to display the goodness of God!

Take a look at how the story ends:
“And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:27, 30‬ ‭KJV‬‬
The fiery ordeal brought them promotion! They didn’t look like what they had gone through. They didn’t even smell like smoke!
God is with you! He will never leave you. God will even be in the fire with you. You are coming OUT!

Glory be to God!

Redeeming the time

12/6/2019

We are in the last month of the year and decade! In a few days the year 2020 will be here! As you reflect on the past year or decade, some don’t have very good memories. Some wish for a do-over and some have regrets. Did you know that God makes provision for us when wrong things happen? He’s a good and loving Father and He knew that we wouldn’t do everything perfectly. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins so we could go free. That’s how good He is. Now let’s look at the concept of time.
Time is defined as: The indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole. Time is also defined as a measurement in hours and minutes. There are 24 hours in a day and 8,760 hours in a year. We have 1,440 minutes in a day and 525,600 minutes in a year. The great physicist, Albert Einstein, stated that time is just a construct of the mind and an illusion. We know that one of the names for God is El Olam which means The Eternal, Everlasting God. He is outside of time and beyond time. When a believer passes away in this life, we sometimes say that they have gone into eternity because in heaven there is no concept of time. So a timeless God is the Author of time. He is in charge of time in the earth realm. He stated that He would give man 120 years to live on this earth (Genesis 6:3). God holds the future. He knows the end from the beginning. So what do we mean by redeeming the time?
To redeem means to compensate for the faults or bad aspects of something. To compensate means to give someone something in recognition of loss, suffering, or injury incurred; recompense; to make up, repay, or pay back. That’s good news! Did you have a bad year? Did the enemy come in and steal something from you? God will pay you back! But you might say, “What if it was all my fault? What if I wasted my own time away?”
Something that is wasted is used or expended carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose; squandered; misspent. So what do you do if you have wasted time? Repent! Ask God to forgive you and to redeem your time! He will! He’s good! God can even use your mistakes if you will allow Him to do it for you! You CAN live a life of no regrets.
Ephesians 5:16 - Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Colossians 4:5 - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Isaiah 58:12 - And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah 52:9 - Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
Let’s end 2019 strong! Let’s go into the new year and the new decade full of joy and believing that God can and will redeem the time. As you sow your year-end seed this month into the fertile ground of this ministry, call it your “redemption seed” and close out 2019 rejoicing! We believe and agree with you for your bountiful harvest, for your hundredfold return! Let’s look forward to the future! Let’s know that our time has been redeemed and it’s going to be grand!
Continue to walk in purpose,
Sharonda

why god hates witchcraft

3/1/2018

Often when we think of witches and witchcraft, our minds refer back to childhood images. We think of long, crooked noses and pointy hats and an old woman riding on a broom. Or we might even think of the good witch from The Wizard of Oz. We think of magic and stirring up potions and these things are often celebrated for Halloween. But make no mistake about it; witchcraft is not a laughing matter and it is something Christians should not be practicing at all.
Now I know some would say it's all fun and games. They would say, "Well, I'm not participating in anything evil or sinister. I'm not drinking blood or making sacrifices or harming people or animals." Some would even call themselves good witches or practicing white magic. They would argue that they are not glorifying demons but God's word tells us that we should steer completely clear of all of these practices.
There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire (as a  sacrifice), one who uses divination and fortune-telling, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a charm or spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer (who seeks the dead). For everyone who does these things is utterly repulsive to the Lord; and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 AMP)
God wants us to depend completely on Him and this is one of the reasons why any form of witchcraft is an abomination to Him. He does not want us relying on astrology because the stars are not a substitute for a real relationship with Him. They cannot tell us who we are. Only God can give us purpose. Another reason God hates witchcraft  is because satan and his demonic forces are behind that dark information. Who do you want your information from? God or the father of lies? He can only give you half-truths through familiar spirits, demons that have followed you and your family around, and that's how he baits you in. God has people He has appointed in place to speak into your life, not psychics, the psychic hotlines, or mediums. God is not using those people who gaze into crystal balls or who lie and say they talk to your dead relatives. They are only conjuring demons. Some might think that they are being comforted by this information but in actuality it is only opening them up to demonic influence in their lives. The enemy is sneaky and his goal is to ruin your life and not to  help you in any way, shape, or form. Do not let him get a foothold in your life through any of these demonic practices.
But there is another very important reason God hates witchcraft which is the true nature behind this very detrimental practice. Let's not think about images of witches, wizards, and warlocks for a moment. Let's look at the real definition of witchcraft:
Witchcraft - to manipulate, dominate, and/or intimidate.
So witchcraft is the practice of manipulating, dominating, and intimidating people.
Manipulate - to control or influence (a person or situation) cleverly, unfairly, or unscrupulously.
Dominate - have a commanding influence on; exercise control over.
Intimidate - frighten or overawe (someone), especially in order to make them do what one wants.
There is one main theme throughout these words related to witchcraft: CONTROL.
God does not control people! God does not want people trying to control people! God did not create us as robots and He does not want our freedom of choice taken from us. This is why God hates witchcraft!
God wanted a family. He made mankind in His image and likeness. We are like Him. God gave us free will. He wanted us to choose to love Him. He did not want to force us to love Him. He gave Adam and Eve the choice to eat the fruit from the tree in the garden of Eden. There are consequences for our choices, however. Parents understand that if their child chooses to misbehave, their child must suffer the consequences of their discipline. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 30:19 - Choose life! God even protects our right to go to hell if we choose not to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. You can choose any religion you want and you can choose to hate God. That is the nature of our free will. Witchcraft wishes to take away those freedoms for the selfish purposes of man.
Demons wish to control people to carry out their evil plans but the Holy Spirit does not control, push, and force people to do the will of God. Even when we pray for the salvation of others, we are instructed to bind the mind-blinding spirit that would keep them from receiving Jesus, to open their eyes to the revelation of Jesus, and to send laborers across their paths to lead them to Christ. If God does not control us then we have no right to do it to others. Please understand the difference. God is love but God does not tolerate that type of behavior for too long. This too is an act of a loving God. There are consequences to suffer for going against God's will. Make sure you are not trying to manipulate, dominate, and intimidate people. Make sure you are not trying to force your will and your agenda on others' lives. Make sure you are not trying to use your anger, or your tears, or threats, or violence to make people do what you want. All of those are forms of manipulation that do not please God. Read the story of Jezebel to see how God had to deal with her for trying to kill His prophets and continue to practice her witchcraft, (See 1 Kings 16:29 - 2 Kings 9:37). God is a God of justice.
Soulish Witchcraft Prayers - These are the type of prayers some people pray for you to do their bidding or for you to fail in certain areas of your life. They are not of God! Some women pray, "Lord, make him marry ME!" Some women are even praying for a man's wife to die so she can have him. We have to use wisdom and understand the will of God and not override man's will. Please be mindful of the fact that God wants people blessed and not cursed. He is a just God. He wants people free. You do not have to manipulate people and circumstances. You do not have to force your will on others. Some people do all kinds of weird things to try to control others. They may feel out of control or been wounded and hurt in the past, so they become very controlling. God does not want us practicing or succumbing to witchcraft, which is a work of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). Let us pray.
Prayer To Come Against Witchcraft
Father God, Thank You for being a loving and gracious Father. We repent for every time we have tried to control the will of others. We renounce and denounce the sin of witchcraft and we know longer practice ungodly works of the flesh. Lord, we choose life. We choose to do Your will. We choose to love others and not try to take away their God-given rights to choose. We declare that we are now free from the practice of all forms of witchcraft. We choose God's way and God's plan. We call upon You, Lord, for freedom from the enemy's design and plan for our lives! We bind any and all types of witchcraft that has come against us and we loose the power of God to free us from every curse. We cancel every hex, vex, spell, jinx, work of witchcraft, new age, law of attraction, root, hoodoo, voodoo, psychic mind control, sorcery, bewitchment, evil eye, black magic, charm, incantation, and enchantment sent against us. Devil, your works have been destroyed and we cancel all confusion. We plead the Blood of Jesus over our souls, over our wills, and over our minds. We think clearly and our judgment is not clouded. Thank You for Your anointing that removes every burden and destroys every yoke. We have been delivered and completely set free! In the mighty and matchless Name of Jesus, Amen!

Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

new year dream

1/3/2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's the beginning of the year and many of us start our resolutions. Many of us seek God for direction for our lives, many fast and pray, and some begin healthy eating and an exercise regimen. I usually fast but I felt led of the Lord to do a Daniel fast in December. It went well and I received direction for the new year, although for me, it still feels a little strange to not fast in January.
I decided to write this blog to share a personal experience and to provide encouragement. We all have a discourager and a deceiver that tries to infiltrate our lives and his name is satan, whether we believe in him or not. This blog post is not intended to glorify him but to make you aware of his tactics. The devil is a liar and the father of lies and we need to be reminded to not fall for his schemes.
Last night I woke up from a demonic dream at about 2:40 A.M. The dream started off innocent enough. In it, I was approached by a man in a friendly manner. He was holding a child in one arm who appeared to be a boy, a toddler about 2 or 3 years old. I felt comfortable around this man because he had a child with him. The man then began asking me questions. Immediately I realized he was trying to appeal to my intellect. He began quoting statistics and I was enjoying the conversation. But, it took a quick turn for the worst when he told me to quit preaching about Jesus. He started giving more reasons why I should stop evangelizing and giving me numbers to back up his point. I was not ministering in the dream. He and I were just standing outside when he approached me with his child. We were complete strangers to each other. I became disturbed and began to walk away. He followed me and was still trying to reason with me. So I ran! He started running behind me with his child still in his arm and was now visibly angry because I wasn't listening. His final words to me were, "You need to stop! You won't win! You won't win!" I woke up shaken and I felt like I had been running.
Let me make a few points. First of all, the devil, the enemy, always shows his hand. I had just fasted for 21 days and got direction for my life and for the new year. The devil tried to talk me out of my God-given purpose. He tried to reason with me first. The Gospel message is not reasonable! You must believe by faith. Then he tried to intimidate me and use scare tactics. What is in your heart to do as a born again believer but you are afraid of failure? Have demon forces intimidated you and told you that you won't be successful? Many times, the thing he fights you in the most is the very thing you should be doing. How about you? Is there something you know that you should be doing? Is it something honorable and that you know would glorify God? Do you almost have to fight to do it? There is your clue to stay the course. The devil tries to steal your dreams and kill your purpose. Don't let him destroy your vision for your life. Stay in faith and don't quit. Remember, YOU WIN!

Now I would like to do what the devil told me not to do; be a soul winner. I would like to invite you to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Someone who doesn't know Him will read this. Someone will share this with a dear person who has not yet invited Jesus into their heart as their Lord and Savior. Say this simple prayer:
Dear God, I renounce satan and all of his works. I repent of my sins and I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, died on a cross for my sins, and on the third day was raised from the dead. Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Live your life in me and through me from now. From this day forward, I belong to you. Thank You for saving me!

Congratulations! Welcome to the Family of God! Now, find a good, Bible-believing church so you can grow in your walk with God. This ministry is here for you! Contact us here if you said that prayer. We want to share in your good news! Don't forget to start reading your Bible. The Book of John in the New Testament is a good place to start. Would love to hear from you! God bless you!

A Prayer for protection

10/23/2017

We are living in dangerous times. No doubt about it. The Bible warned and foretold of the last days. But as a child of God, you don't have to live in fear.
"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24: 6)
We don't have to be troubled or afraid. We are covered! When Jesus was beaten and crucified for our sins it was a complete work. When He died on the cross and rose from the dead, He SAVED us. Salvation is more than just not going to hell when we leave this earth. The word "salvation" when used in the Bible is translated from the word "sozo".
Sozo means: to save, keep safe and sound, to deliver, to protect, to heal, preserve, to restore to health, to rescue from danger or destruction, to do well, and to make whole.
Jesus' finished work on the cross provided all of this for us. I like to think of it as a "benefits package". When you start a new job you often ask about or you are presented with a benefits package which usually includes healthcare or other incentives. It is the same when you become born again and start your new life in Christ.
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalms 103: 1-5)
Don't forget your benefits package! Jesus died to give it to you. Don't leave it on the table. Receive it!
How do you receive it? You speak the Word of God. You agree with God. You activate, or make active the Word of God in your life. Let's pray Psalm 91, a psalm of protection, over our lives today. Let's make this prayer confession:
Father God, I dwell in Your Presence, in the shelter of the Most High and under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no enemy can withstand. I will say of the Lord: You are my refuge. I trust in You and I am safe. You rescue me from hidden traps and shield me from deadly hazards. You protect me and Your arms fend off all harm. I will not fear! I will not fear the terrors of the night, nor bullets that are shot. I do not fear disease that stalks in darkness, nor destruction, disaster, or sudden death. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand but it shall not come near ME! I will stand untouched. Harm can't even graze me or my family. No evil will befall me, neither will any plague come near my dwellings. Father, thank You for giving Your angels charge over me to keep me and protect me wherever I go. Devil, you are under my feet! You have no power over me! I set my love upon You Lord. My security is in You. You place me in high places of authority and honor because I call on You. I acknowledge You and I thank You that You give me a long life and a satisfying life and You let me see Your salvation. Father, I thank You for loving me and my family and for the blood that Jesus shed for me. I plead that precious Blood over me and my family and I receive all that You have provided for me. It's in the matchless Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

something new

9/28/2017

Happy New Year! The Jewish community around the world recently celebrated Rosh Hashanah, which literally translates, Head of the Year. Although I am not ethnically Jewish, I find the customs and traditions quite interesting. I like the idea of eating apples and honey for a sweet new year. According to the Hebraic calendar, it is now the year 5778. The number 8 in the Bible symbolizes new beginnings. Today I am doing something new; writing my first blog post.
I was going to introduce myself in my very first blog but I would be remiss if I didn't first introduce you to the One who makes it ALL possible. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and shed His Blood for the sins of the entire world. Messianic Jews call Him the Messiah and Christians call him Savior. God knew we would need a Savior, and He sent His Son to sacrifice His life so that ALL of humankind could go free.
Do you know Him? Do you know Jesus? Would you like to be saved from your sin and have eternal life? Pray this simple prayer aloud:

Dear GOD, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He died for my sins. On the third day He was raised from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart. I repent of my sins and I renounce Satan and all of his works. From now on I belong to You. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues, my Heavenly language. I thank You and I praise You for it now, Lord. It's in Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Welcome to the family of God! Welcome to your NEW life in Christ! Take the next steps. Find and attend a good Bible-believing church, be baptized, and fellowship with other believers so you can grow stronger in your new faith. Also, begin to read your Bible. A good place to start is the Gospel of John, a book in the New Testament of the Bible.

I'm praying for you as you begin your new life and your new journey!

Romans 10: 9, 13 (NIV) - If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. v.13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
